Are you in pain?
At Pain Management Specialists of New York, with four convenient offices across the Greater New York City metropolitan area, we bring more than 20 years of experience to individuals suffering from either acute or chronic pain. The following are some of the main pain conditions that our specialists treat.

Neck Pain
Neck pain can stem from a wide range of conditions, such as arthritis, a pinched nerve, repetitive stress or motion injury, traumatic injury, herniated disc, whiplash or spinal stenosis. We can help manage your pain.

Pinched Nerve
Common causes include injury, arthritis, poor posture, obesity and herniated discs.

Upper Back Pain
Discomfort in your upper back may stem from a herniated disc, a fractured vertebra, from spinal stenosis or from some type of arthritis. Common treatment options include nerve blocks and other injections, as well as physical therapy.

Tendonitis
Injury or overuse of your tendons, which connect muscles to bones, can lead to inflammation, swelling, pain and joint stiffness. Tendonitis is most commonly found in the elbow, knee, shoulder, heel and wrist.

Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain may be the result of sprain or strain, herniated disc, inflammation of the sciatic nerve, poor posture, arthritis, repetitive stress, degenerative conditions, or traumatic injury.

Herniated Disc
Your vertebrae, the bones in your spinal cord, are cushioned by soft, jellylike discs, which absorb shock and protect nerve ending. Injury and overuse can cause those discs to rupture or bulge, which puts pressure on nerve roots.

Shoulder Pain
Your shoulder is a highly complex joint, making it susceptible to pain from injury or overuse.

Arthritis
Arthritis, most often caused by wear and tear or overuse of a joint, can make it painful to engage in even the most basic tasks. We offer a variety of treatment options, including nerve blocks and other injections to effectively treat arthritic pain.

Knee Pain
Knee pain can stem from a wide range of conditions, including tendon, muscle and ligament damage, arthritis or bursitis, or tearing or deterioration of the cartilage (meniscus) that cushions the bones.

Hip Pain
Your hips provide stability for your whole body and can be susceptible to arthritis, bursitis, repetitive stress and motion injury, as well as muscle and tendon injury and degenerative conditions.

Spinal Stenosis
A narrowing of the spinal column that may be caused by arthritis, injury, cysts or tumors, stenosis can increase pressure on your spinal cord and nerves, leading to pain, weakness or numbness in your arms, legs, hands and feet.

Sciatica
Pressure on or damage to your sciatic nerve, which runs from your tailbone to your feet, can lead to pain that radiates from your lower back all the way down your leg. Common causes in herniated discs, aging and injury.
